Liverpool crowned Premier League champions

Liverpool’s record equalling 20th League title (along with 8 FA Cups, 10 League Cups and 6 European Cups) settles a long standing fan debate; they are now the the most successful team in English football history. This achievement deserved a uniquely Scouse celebration from Nike. And what better way to do that, than dismiss the debate all together and state that in fact the most successful team in England, isn’t English, it’s Scouse.

Then Nike aimed to end the country’s second biggest argument: is it called an ‘ice lolly’ or a ‘lolly ice’? Being a term used exclusively in Liverpool, Nike teamed up with spoken word artist and LFC fan Joseph Roberts to end the discussion with the release of commemorative Nike Lolly Ices. In addition, a branded lolly van toured the city stopping at fan zones and Powerleague pitches with special guests such as footballer Ian Rush handing out lolly ices – keeping fans cool and reminding everyone that the greatest team in England isn’t English, it’s Scouse.
