SCARY GOOD
Giulia Gwinn is just too good to be one footballer

Nike, 2025

As part of Nike Football’s global campaign “SCARY GOOD” we meet The Gwinners, a group of conspiracy theorists who believe German player Giulia Gwinn is just too good to be one footballer. The film, delivered in the style of a documentary, celebrates the creative and electrifying style of play that defies convention – the brand of football Nike represents.

The conspiracy centers around Gwinn’s unique playing style. As a fullback who defends, attacks, scores goals and plays with both feet, the film investigates claims that Giulia has a sinister secret: a twin, a clone, the involvement of aliens? Directed by Björn Rhüman, we visit a cast of concerned characters as they lay bare their darkest theories to expose the truth and explain the mystery of Giulia’s exploits on the pitch.

“SCARY GOOD” is a bold creative manifesto that celebrates the unmistakable style of the world’s most ferocious attackers – a style that brings the fun back to football. This new era channels the elite mentality of the game’s greatest to dare the next generation into reviving the creative game with instinct. Nike chose to showcase one of the world’s most terrifying players, Giulia Gwinn, in the form of eerie, late night TV. Because the scariest kind of football is the kind that keeps you up at night.

The campaign also features 8 more individual athlete films and a 60-second montage starring footballers Alexia Putellas, Kylian Mbappé, Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Erling Haaland, Kerolin, Sam Kerr, Cole Palmer, Salma Paralluelo and Vini Jr.
